I didn't know who she was. Our eyes met from a distance. I smiled and she smiled. I started towards her and she towards me, and as I got closer I noticed that she looked familiar. I wondered, had I seen her before? Or maybe we'd met in a past life.
She was magnificent. Beautiful brown curls that hung about her crown that were accented by these mystifying eyes that could tell no lies. She had these lovely curvacious hips. They looked so good I had to lick my lips. The swing in them had me hypnotized as we approached each other.
I started to think about what kind of life she must lead. Maybe she was an actress that embodied the life of luxury. Or maybe she was a poet that could appreciate the simplicity of a cup of hotchocolate and a Billie Holiday CD. Maybe she was a jezebelle, loving men only for the pure satisfaction of leaving them. Or maybe she was just a girl who had a rough past, but a future so bright she had to wear shades before she could even think about it.
But then I wondered, "Am I judging her?" After all, I didn't want to be the ignorant somebody looking from the outside in and second guessing so I quickly erased all previous thoughts from my mind. One would think that I'd been walking over to her forever, but I had only taken 4 steps. And for every one I took towards her, she took another towards me, closing the gap between our minds.
I smiled, she smiled, and there was something about her smile. A mystery that underlied the parting of her lips. How I longed to get to know her better. Closer, we were. Face to face, we were. And I realized that I had been peering into a full length mirror all along. So when I smiled, she smiled. And, for some odd reason, I just couldn't stop smiling.
